I don’t know if most of you saw Elder Wirthlin try and speak on Sunday, but he did not look or do well. He is a Member of the 12 apostles and Spoke in the LDS General Conference that was held last week end. Here is an article about what happened.

Posted: 5:44 PM- LDS Apostle Joseph B. Wirthlin’s near collapse at the podium during the church’s 177th Seminannual General Conference was merely a case of “knees locking,” his son said Tuesday.
While giving his speech on Sunday before 21,000 people in the giant Conference Center in downtown Salt Lake City, Wirthlin seemed about to fall over when fellow apostle Russell M. Nelson stood and braced his friend at his back. Wirthlin was thus able to finish his 15-minute speech.
Since then, many Mormons in the 13-million member Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have been asking what happened, wondering if Wirthlin was sick or just frail.
“He’s 90 years old and locked his knees from standing in one place too long,” Joseph B. Wirthlin Jr. said. “It’s like if you hold a weight up in the air, after so long your arms start shaking because you don’t have enough strength to continue.”
After the episode on Sunday, the family checked the apostle’s pulse and blood pressure and both were normal, Wirthlin Jr. said. “He’s in good physical condition. He doesn’t have any ailments except age.”
The elder Wirthlin did not miss any of the conference’s five sessions, said LDS spokesman Scott Trotter. “He continues in his regular day-to-day church assignments.”
